PI Telemarketing News: Seattle, WA Chiropractic Blog Takes On Big Issues

Personal Injury Telemarketing, Accident Referral NetworkWhen it comes to getting a message out to accident victims and others with spinal injuries, some kinds of chiropractic outreach and literature are more powerful than others. Some practices prefer to just distribute basic information about the biggest problems that their patients face, while others use the online platform to deliver lengthy screeds about the state of modern medicine. Within that spectrum, there are a few efforts that distinguish themselves and tend to draw a good deal of web traffic. These methods are often looked at carefully by the Accident Referral Network or other personal injury telemarketing firms that work with doctors to help new patients through the intake process.

The Hippocratic Oath…And Chiropractic?

On the Queen Anne Chiropractic Center blog, Dr. Graeme Gibson, D.C. expounds on some weighty ideas in an October 19, 2012 titled “Does the Hippocratic Oath Even Matter Anymore? This isn’t the only profound or catchy post on the blog, as other recent additions take on issues like sports injury in engaging, active ways, but it is one that holds a particular message that may resonate with a lot of readers, not just patients, but other doctors or experts in healthcare.

In the post, Dr. Gibson points out that the oath, which he uttered once in 2001, while graduating from Life Chiropractic College West, is often misconstrued. A lot of people who are less familiar with the medical profession, and even some doctors, would simply characterize the Hippocratic oath as “do no harm,” or in its fuller form, “first, do no harm.”

What Dr. Gibson reveals, carefully and in detail, is that this isn’t the whole gist of the oath, and doesn’t go far very to describe its propositions. In fact, it’s not even included in the oath itself.

“This phrase is not found in the classic version, nor is it found in the modern version that was written in 1964.” writes Dr. Gibson. “After reading both versions I can see how ‘First, do no harm.’ may suffice for some people, but in my opinion, it ends up skirting the most important points of the oath.”

Other Aspects of the Hippocratic Oath

In going over the actual text, Dr. Gibson refers to the precept of sharing knowledge “without fee or covenant,” something he takes up later, in contrast to some of the most major failings of the modern American health system in particular. The idea of free healing has been replaced with a desperate bid to control skyrocketing costs, not just for facilities services or pills, but for the time and knowledge of healers. Add in medical malpractice insurance, etc. and you have a “toxic brew” that, as the writer points out, is rather un-Hippocratic.

Why Include This Kind of Chiropractic Marketing?

Some chiropractic doctors might see this kind of revelation as an over-reach, especially for something as informal as a practice blog. However, others would contend that a practice blog should be, in fact, more formal, and look more like a legitimate venue for talking about the higher elements of chiropractic specifically, and modern medicine in general.

At the Accident Referral Network, marketers understand that each practice has its own particular voice. Skilled PI Telemarketing professionals work closely with practice leaders to establish a consistent “chain of messaging” that can help a chiropractic office or clinic truly build a new patient list that works.
